We are seeking an experienced and motivated Youth Health and Wellbeing Manager to lead our wonderful headspace and youth teams.
Employment Type: Full-time, Ongoing 1.0 FTE, 5 days – 38 hours per week
Location: Drysdale and Ocean Grove
The Bellarine Peninsula is a short 30-minute drive from Geelong, 'where the weekends are a little longer and the flavours a little fresher'. A perfect mix of sleepy coastal towns and reinvented urban precincts, on your way to work you will pass wineries, beaches, and a sheep or two.
Bellarine Community Health (BCH) is the major provider of primary health care services to the Bellarine Peninsula. BCH is a not-for-profit health care provider with close links to our community operating from six sites located in Drysdale (two sites), Ocean Grove (two sites), Point Lonsdale and Portarlington and in community settings across the Bellarine.

Our friendly and professional multi-disciplinary Youth Health and Wellbeing and headspace Ocean Grove team includes mental health professionals, youth community health nurses, youth and community engagement worker, mental health workers, dietitian and reception/administration staff all committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people, their family and friends.
Services are provided from our Drysdale Youth site, headspace Ocean Grove satellite site, Doctors in School clinics and in community outreach settings.
The team offers support tailored to the needs of young people and the important people in their lives.
Our team work alongside co-located external providers to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Degree level qualifications in allied health, behavioural/social sciences, youth work, mental health nursing, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience within Health or Community Services
Demonstrated experience at effectively leading and reporting on complex planning and service development environments.
Demonstrated experience at managing and developing operational systems for a health or community services organisation, including effectively planning and allocating resources in order to maximise operational efficiency and meet funding deliverables.
Demonstrated experience at managing all aspects of staff and team performance, including recruitment, staff orientation, supervision, performance reviews, staff disciplinary action, performance development and team building
Experience in direct service provision to young people and providing mental health services or programs, including being able to respond effectively to crisis and high risk situations
Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated capacity to effectively engage in leadership and management processes, including multidisciplinary and/or cross sector initiatives, and partnerships with a wide range of professionals, organisations and stakeholders.
