Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Team Leader for the Youth Response Team and Safe Haven within NSLHD Child and Youth Mental Health Services. You will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate care to young people in crisis, with a focus on evidence-based practice.

The role requires senior clinical expertise in youth mental health, crisis outreach, and strong supervision, including after-hours shifts at North Ryde/Brookvale facilities.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy or for Nursing with current AHPRA registration and significant relevant experience.
• Social Workers must be eligible for membership with AASW.
• Occupational Therapists, Diversional Therapists and Social Workers require progression as level 2 or above.
• Clinical Psychologist must hold a Masters degree or higher.
• Senior Psychologist must have completed no less than 12 months service at the 9th year.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership, service coordination and support to a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in brief crisis outreach and youth mental health clinical services.
• Skills in planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical services or programs.
• Current unrestricted NSW driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical and operational leadership to the Youth Response Team.
• Deliver high quality evidence-based interventions for young people in crisis.
• Oversee after-hours and weekend operations at Safe Havens on roster.
• Support crisis response, safety planning, and care coordination.
• Collaborate with signatories to the NSW Mental Health Act and community services.
