Job summary

Faith Lutheran College in Barossa Valley seeks an experienced Year 5/6 Teacher for a 12-month contract starting January 2027. The role involves delivering inquiry-based learning within a Junior School, aligned to the IB PYP and Australian Curriculum, while fostering student engagement, wellbeing and Christian values.

You will teach a Year 5/6 class, collaborate with staff and families, and contribute to a supportive Christian learning community.

Qualifications

• Current South Australian Teacher Registration (or eligibility to obtain).
• Relevant teaching qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Commitment to student-centred, inquiry-based learning.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
• Commitment to contributing to the wider College community.
• Experience teaching upper primary students.
• Experience with or knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).
• Experience within a Lutheran or Christian education setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 5/6 class within the Junior School.
