Outdoor Fabrications Pty in New South Wales is seeking a hands-on yard and dispatch support to keep our workshop, yard and loading operations running safely and efficiently. You will work closely with production and workshop teams to ensure smooth material flow and accurate stock handling.

The role requires a current forklift licence, a tower crane licence is highly regarded, and experience in yard or dispatch within steel fabrication or construction.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence and practical forklift operating experience – essential.
• Tower crane licence – highly regarded.
• Dogging or rigging qualifications would also be an advantage.
• Previous yard, stores or dispatch experience, preferably in steel fabrication, manufacturing or construction.
• Experience handling long or heavy materials, with a strong commitment to safe lifting and loading practices.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and communicate with the workshop team.
• A dependable work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Loading and unloading trucks and moving steel materials and fabricated components using a forklift
• Receiving deliveries, checking quantities against delivery dockets and reporting shortages or damage
• Maintain an organised, clean and safe yard and storage areas
• Assist with stock control, material identification and inventory management
• Organising and identifying stock, keeping materials allocated to the correct jobs and assisting with stocktakes
• Preparing orders, including packing and assisting with safe loading and load restraint
• Supplying materials to the workshop and maintaining clean, orderly yard and storage areas
• Completing equipment pre-start checks, reporting defects and operating lifting equipment only where appropriately licensed, trained and authorised
