Job summary

Workhorse Staffing is seeking a hands-on Yardhand in Sydney to support a national equipment hire business. The role focuses on preparing, moving and maintaining yard equipment, with a strong emphasis on forklift operations and safe handling.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, has at least two years forklift experience, enjoys teamwork, outdoor work and occasional night project shifts, with overtime available and a stable long‑term position.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles.
• Operate forklifts to move equipment and materials around the yard.

• Move and stack equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform manual handling and general yard duties.

Salary: AUD37 - AUD38 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Yard Person to join a well established national business specialising in the hire and supply of site equipment. This is a hands on role involving the preparation, movement and maintenance of equipment within a busy yard.

The role is ideal for someone with strong forklift and yard experience who enjoys physical work, working with equipment and being part of a fast paced team. There is overtime available, along with additional night project work.

ROLE

REQUIREMENTS

• Comfortable handling heavy equipment and materials
• Physically fit and capable of regular manual handling
• Comfortable working outdoors in a hands on environment
• Reliable, safety-focused and willing to work as part of a team
• Flexible to work overtime and occasional night projects
