Job summary

Sims Limited is seeking an experienced Team Leader to guide daily yard operations at our Queensland recycling facility. You will lead a hands-on team, ensuring activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards while training and developing others.

You will operate or learn to operate a range of mobile plant, including excavators and forklifts, to sort and process ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and you will support safe, proactive interactions with drivers, suppliers

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a recycling/industrial setting.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.
• Strong commitment to health and safety requirements.
• Willingness to learn and develop leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the yard team to complete daily activities safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate work priorities and allocate tasks across the team.
• Operate plant and equipment, including forklifts.
• Grade, sort and process ferrous and non-ferrous metals to meet quality standards.
• Support customer interactions and maintain a positive experience for drivers and suppliers.
