Job summary

Supagas in Adelaide, SA is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor for the Edinburgh North branch. This full-time role runs 1pm–9pm, with occasional AM shifts as needed.

You will manage daily branch logistics and yard operations, lead the delivery and customer service teams, and drive safety compliance and training across staff. A forklift license is essential; MR license is a bonus, and pre-employment medical applies.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid forklift license.
• MR license preferred.
• Experience in gas industry advantageous.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Proven leadership and excellent communication.
• Exceptional customer service experience.
• Must pass pre-employment medical examination.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily branch logistics and yard operations.
• Oversee customer service and delivery operations (Bulk LPG).
• Plan for growth and delivery improvements.
• Oversee handheld management implementation.
• Coordinate training for drivers and yard staff.
• Ensure safety rules and PTW compliance.
• Develop job descriptions and task lists.
• Conduct toolbox meetings.
• Attend management meetings.
• Maintain safety of staff, customers and the public.
• Plan and manage delivery schedules and resources.

About The Role

To support our growth focused approach, we are currently seeking an experienced Yard Supervisorfor the afternoon shift to join our team in Edinburgh North, SAbranch.

Full Time (Monday - Friday, 1pm - 9pm). Please note, at times this may require rotating to AM shifts when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for managing the daily operations of the Branch logistics and yard operations.
• Effective and efficient management of the customer service (delivery) operation (including Bulk LPG).
• Forward planning for growth and continuous improvement for deliveries.
• Handheld management and implementation.
• Ensure co-ordination of training is provided for current and future drivers and yard staff to the required standards.
• Ensure all staff, visitors and contractors operate within Supagas safety rules including Permit To Work (PTW) requirements.
• Analyse skills and knowledge required for each role to develop job descriptions and task lists.
• Conduct regular tool box meetings.
• Attend and be prepared for management meetings as required.
• Ensure that the Safety of staff, customers and the Public is maintained at all times.
• Plan, create and manage the allocated delivery schedule, assign resources to the schedule, monitor and track progress of deliveries according to schedule created.

Skills & Experience

• Must have a valid forklift license.
• MR license is preferred but not essential.
• Previous gas industry experience advantageous but not essential.
• Intermediate level of computer skills is essential.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Outstanding customer service
• The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
