Water Infrastructure Services is seeking a hands-on Yard Operations Support / Stores Person on a full-time basis in Queensland. The role supports daily stores/yards operations, ensuring plant, equipment and materials are prepared, maintained and delivered to project teams as required.

It suits someone practical who takes pride in organisation, works independently, and contributes to a reliable logistics flow for project teams and sites.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in stores, warehouse, or yard operations.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the yard and stores.
  • Prepare, allocate and issue plant, equipment, and materials to project teams.
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels and organising stores inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard and workshop environment.
  • Deliver and collect materials, equipment, and supplies to and from project sites.
  • Operate an HR flatbed truck for site deliveries as required.
  • Operate a forklift and other materials handling equipment.
  • Receive deliveries and perform incoming goods inspections.
  • Assist with stock control and stocktakes.
  • Coordinate and assist with routine maintenance of small plant, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Maintain presentation of the yard and company vehicles.

We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Operations Support / Stores Person to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

This role supports the day-to-day operation of our stores and yard, working closely with our senior yard operations manager to ensure plant, equipment, and materials are prepared, maintained, and delivered to project teams when required.

This is a hands‑on operational role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in keeping things organised, and is comfortable working independently while supporting a wider team.

You will play an important role in keeping projects moving by ensuring equipment, materials, and deliveries are handled efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the yard and stores
  • Prepare, allocate and issue plant, equipment, and materials to project teams
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels and organising stores inventory
