HCA Healthcare, Inc. through CareNow urgent care seeks an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant to provide patient-centered care and imaging services.

You will take vitals, collect specimens, perform EKGs, and update charts in the EHR, while assisting with check-in/check-out and maintaining detailed records. A combination of MA training and clinical experience is expected, with necessary licenses and certifications to be obtained within set timelines.

Formación

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsabilidades

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology and in-house lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
