Job summary

The Glascott Group is seeking Team Members to maintain and enhance Water Sensitive Urban Design assets across the Gold Coast region, starting early and working outdoors. This role is based at the Yatala Depot and involves a 4-day work week with full-time hours and an early start from 5:00am to 3:00pm.

Ideal candidates will have landscaping or grounds maintenance experience, a valid Driver's licence, and a White Card.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role is desirable.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, hardworking and physically fit.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Driver’s licence (essential).
• White Card (essential).
• Chemical ticket and/or experience with chemical spraying (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance of WSUD assets and surrounding areas
• Vegetation management, weed removal and general landscaping duties
• Brush cutting and chemical spraying
• Assist with site inspections and identifying maintenance issues
• Use a range of hand tools and outdoor maintenance equipment
• Maintain sites to a high standard and ensure work is completed safely
• Work as part of a team to complete daily tasks efficiently
• Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental requirements
