A respected automotive dealership in Adelaide seeks a Workshop Foreman to lead a team of technicians while staying hands-on with diagnostics and quality checks. This role offers a unique blend of leadership and technical challenges, perfect for a seasoned Master Technician or Senior Tech ready to mentor and grow. Enjoy a supportive team culture and a chance to further your career in a family-owned business with a strong reputation for staff retention and quality service.
Wayne Phillis Automotive – Lonsdale (Kia, Isuzu & Geely)
Full-time | Salaried + Monthly Bonus | 8:00am – 4:45pm
If you’re a Master Tech or Senior Technician who knows it’s time to move toward leadership — but you’re not ready to abandon the tools entirely — this is the role that bridges the gap.
At Wayne Phillis Automotive, we’ve been proudly family-owned and operating in Adelaide’s southern suburbs for 40 years. We’ve built a strong reputation, a loyal customer base, and a workplace where people build long-term careers — not just jobs.
With our brand‑new, purpose‑built workshop facilities in Lonsdale and a team that’s growing fast, we’re ready to bring in a Workshop Foreman who can lead, mentor and elevate our technicians and apprentices.
You’ll guide, teach, support, problem‑solve — but you won’t be responsible for workflow allocation. That stays with the Workshop Controller.
If you enjoy helping others grow, explaining the “why”, and lifting the standard across the workshop — you’ll thrive here.
You’ll still jump in for complex diagnostics, tricky jobs and complete quality checks. This is leadership that still lets you be a tech.
We’re still owned and operated by Wayne and the Phillis family after four decades. Many of our staff have been with us for 10+ years — people stay because they’re valued.
Work across Kia, Isuzu and Geely — every day is different.
