Winc in Australia is seeking a Workforce Planning Manager to standardise and transform rostering across nine distribution centres. You will bridge operations, data analytics, and workforce technology, designing standardised frameworks and overseeing UKG timekeeping.

You’ll partner with site leaders to match capacity with volume, while analytics teammates build scalable tools to boost productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in workforce planning or related roles across supply chain, warehousing or multi-site operations.
• Proven ability to design WFM processes, standardise operations and drive change through coaching and training.
• Strong WFM/timekeeping systems experience; UKG highly regarded.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and roll out standardized, scalable rostering and scheduling processes across all 9 Distribution Centres.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize shift patterns, labour models, and scheduling rules against demand.
• Establish clear workforce planning guidelines, attendance policies, and scheduling routines.
• Align workforce strategies to business priorities, service commitments and customer demand.
• Coach Operations leaders, building capability in forecasting, planning and optimization.
• Own workforce planning outcomes, including service levels and capacity performance.
• Ensure forecasting, scheduling and optimization support operational requirements and growth.
• Manage relationships with 3rd party labour agencies.

ROLE PURPOSE

As the Workforce Planning Manager, you will be responsible for standardising, architecting, and transforming workforce planning and scheduling across our national network of 9 Distribution Centres (4 large hubs and 5 regional/small sites).

In this role, you will bridge the gap between operational leadership, data analytics, and workforce management technology. You will design standardised rostering frameworks, oversee our timekeeping system (UKG), and partner closely with site leaders to ensure workforce capacity and shift structures match changing volume demand. Supported by our internal analytics team building scalable tools, you will act as a change agent combining strong people skills, change management, and hands‑on data analysis to elevate operational productivity and worker efficiency across the network.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Network Standardisation: Architect and roll out standardized, scalable rostering and scheduling processes across all 9 Distribution Centres.
• Shift Structure vs. Volume Analysis: Continuously evaluate and optimize shift patterns, labour models, and scheduling rules against historical and forecasted volume demand.
• Governance & Standards: Establish clear workforce planning guidelines, attendance policies, and operational scheduling routines.
• Lead workforce planning: Aligning workforce strategies to business priorities, servicecommitmentsand customer demand.
• Coach Distribution Centre Operations leaders, building capability in forecasting, planning, optimisation and business improvement.
• Own workforce planning outcomes, including service levels, workforce efficiency, capacityperformanceand operational effectiveness.
• Ensure forecasting, scheduling and optimisation activities support operational requirements, customer expectations and sustainable growth.
• Manage relationships with 3rd party workforce labour agencies

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• 5+ years’ workforce planning, labour optimisation or operational planning experience across supply chain, logistics, warehousing or multi-site operations.
• Proven ability to design WFM processes, standardise operations and drive change through coaching and training.
• Strong WFM/timekeeping systems experience; UKG highly regarded.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial and analytical acumen, linking labour planning to costs, OT and service levels.
• Experience leading workforce planning teams across forecasting, modelling, BI and capacity planning.
• Strong problem-solving, resilience and strategic thinking in complex operational environments.

Technical Skills:

• Excel & Power Query – Essential (Advanced): Rostering, data and productivity modelling.
• SQL – Desirable (Intermediate): Workforce and operational data analysis.
• Python – Desirable (Foundational): Data analysis and automation.
• Tableau – Desirable (Intermediate): Workforce and productivity dashboards.
