Details: A career opportunity has arisen in ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) for an enthusiastic, experienced, highly motivated, career-oriented person to fill the position of Workforce Administration Officer (ASO5), within Corporate Services.

The successful applicant will be required to provide administration support for rostering services across ACTCS to ensure effective and efficient rostering operations. This includes managing and maintaining accurate records and documentation for all staffing and payroll matters including leave, overtime, penalty, shift and other allowances and implementing system changes and software enhancements.

In addition, you will liaise with administrative, custodial staff and other ACTCS or Justice and Community Safety (JACS) staff, providing advice on rostering and staffing matters that may arise, and maintain working knowledge of relevant employment frameworks, including Enterprise Agreements and agency specific policies and procedures.

To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate well-developed information technology skills, including experience in the use and application of rostering systems, the Microsoft Office suite and other data bases, or the ability to quickly learn new data bases, to manage information and to produce high quality reports. You will also be required to demonstrate your ability to understand and interpret legislation to provide accurate rostering and human resources advice to stakeholders.

Additionally, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of internal staff and external stakeholders.
