Cognizant is seeking a Principal Consultant to bridge business and technical teams on Workday HCM implementations, guiding transformation from design to operation across Learning, Recruiting and Talent.

You will lead design sessions, map requirements to configurations, and collaborate with integration teams for payroll and benefits interfaces, with remote/global delivery options.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, HRIS or related field.
  • Workday HCM/Recruiting/Learning/Talent certification required.
  • 2+ years Workday implementation experience.
  • 2-5 years HR, Payroll or financial software experience.
  • 2-5 years implementing ERP or SaaS solutions.
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing and prototyping under deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Become a Workday expert across Learning, Recruiting and Talent.
  • Recommend best solutions based on client needs, budget and timeframe.
  • Lead design sessions and configuration decisions with customers.
  • Guide clients through all project phases from legacy to Workday HCM.
  • Coordinate with integration teams for payroll/benefits integrations.
  • Take leadership on projects as Lead or DA Reviewer.
  • Load customer data and migrate configurations between tenants.
  • Map data sources into conversion templates via loads.

Job description

The Principal Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday HCM implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Become a Workday Learning, Recruiting and Talent product expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the client’s requirements, budget, and timeframe; with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified.
  • Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
  • Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.
  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
  • Work alongside the integration team to configure and test integrations between the Workday solution and the client’s selected payroll and benefits providers.
  • Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Collaborative or WorkdayProduct Partner Lead and/or DA Reviewer.
  • Display your hands-on expertise of the software, includingiLoading customer data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
  • Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates viaiLoads.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, HRIS or related field required;
  • Certification in Workday HCM, Workday Recruiting, Workday Learning or Workday Talent.
  • 2+ years of Workday implementation experiences, highly desired.
  • 2-5 years Human Resources, Payroll, or financial software experience, required.
  • 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software, highly desired.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
