Job summary

Children’s Ground is seeking a WHS and Policy & Procedure Officer to lead compliance with WHS regulations and to develop, implement, and review organisational policies. This role covers Central Australia, the Top End, and a Melbourne shared services office, with a 50/50 focus on WHS and policy work.

The ideal candidate will have strong WHS knowledge, experience in multi-location governance, and the ability to work respectfully with First Nations communities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing WHS policies and programs.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and best practices.
• Ability to work in culturally sensitive environments and with First Nations communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies and programs to ensure compliance with legislation.
• Lead WHS risk assessments, audits and incident investigations across locations.
• Coordinate WHS training and culturally appropriate staff engagement.
• Develop and review governance frameworks for policies and procedures across CA, Top End, and Melbourne.
