Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a dedicated Wellness Lead for BlueCare/Azure Blue to steer the Wellness & Engagement Program. You will work with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure person-centred activities that promote independence and wellbeing. Leadership of Wellness Partners and volunteers is required to deliver meaningful experiences.

The role supports a hybrid model with travel, emphasizing safety, quality and compliance in all programs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Leisure and Health with extensive relevant experience.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Experience designing wellness programs in aged care, disability or community settings.
• Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring or leading staff and/or volunteers.
• Strong understanding of person-centered practice, dementia care and cultural safety.

Through leading wellness programs and supporting a team of Wellness Partners, you’ll help enhance quality of life and resident wellbeing every day.

About the role

As a Wellness Lead , you’ll provide leadership and oversight of the home’s Wellness & Engagement Program, ensuring activities are person-centred, inclusive and aligned with residents’ goals, interests and abilities. Working closely with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll support meaningful engagement that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing.

You will:

Role requirements

• Diploma in Leisure and Health with extensive relevant experience

• Current Queensland Driver Licence

• Experience designing and delivering wellness, lifestyle or engagement programs in aged care, disability or community settings

• Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring or leading staff and/or volunteers

• Strong understanding of person-centered practice, dementia care and cultural safety

• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

• Knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, WHS and risk management principles

• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or organisational policies
