Job summary

Bupa Ballarat care home is seeking a Wellbeing Carer to enrich residents' lives through engaging activities, social events, and daily support. You will collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan programs, document progress, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

Ideal candidates have elder care experience, First Aid certification, and a flexible, compassionate approach to supporting residents’ wellbeing and independence.

Responsibilities

• Be the fun facilitator: help residents explore interests through activities and outings.
• Social butterfly: foster belonging during games, chats and social events.
• Assist with daily living needs such as meals and outings, provide emotional support.
• Gather resident and family feedback to improve activities and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities and document progress.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe, tidy environment.
• Lend a hand with plating and serving meals while respecting resident preferences.

• Social butterfly extraordinaire: Whether it's a lively game of bingo or a quiet chat over afternoon tea, you'll be the friendly face who connects residents and fosters a sense of belonging.
• More than just activities: You'll be a supportive companion, assisting with daily living like mealtimes and outings, and offering emotional support to those with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
• Resident champion: Your voice matters! You'll gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities truly hit the mark.
• Team player: You'll collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and escalat
• Hygiene hero: Keeping things clean and safe is essential. You'll follow infection control protocols and maintain a tidy environment.
• Catering crewmate: You'll lend a hand with plating and serving meals, adhering to food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences.
