Job summary

Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia (BMSA) is seeking a Trades Assistant to support our welding and wheel repair team in Western Australia. You will diagnose wheel damage, ensure safe on-site operations, and verify wheel inspections meet BMSA QMS after each repair stage.

The role suits those with welding experience (not essential), a forklift licence or ability to obtain one, and a background in metal fabrication or a workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Must have full working rights in Australia.
• Welding experience preferred but not essential.
• Forklift licence (LF) or ability to obtain.
• Strong commitment to safety of yourself and others.
• Fit and able to carry out manual labour requirements.
• Aptitude/experience in metal fabrication or in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Work to best practice and service standard protocols of BMSA and customers.
• Diagnose/identify and troubleshoot wheel damage.
• Ensure equipment on site meets operational requirements and allow work to be carried out safely.
• Ensure that every wheel is inspected and complies to BMSA QMS after each repair stage.
