Job summary

Coded Contracting Pty Ltd in Adelaide, SA is seeking an experienced QA Manager - Cert 10 Welding Supervisor to oversee welding quality, procedures and compliance across workshops. You will lead welders and fabrication staff, coordinate qualification records, maintain ITPs and NCRs, and liaise with inspectors, clients and engineers to ensure standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate 10 – Welding Supervisor qualification or equivalent recognised welding supervision qualification.
• Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding or Fabrication and/or experience in energy/mining QA.
• Demonstrated experience in a QA role.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, procedures and fabrication requirements.
• Familiarity with ASME and Australian Standards for welding quality.
• Experience with WPS/PQR documentation and welder qualification records.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and support to welders and fabrication personnel.
• Ensure welding is performed in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Coordinate welder qualifications and maintain relevant welding documentation and records.
• Monitor welding quality and workmanship throughout fabrication and production.
• Assist the workshop Cert 10 with visual inspections and coordinate NDT requirements where applicable.
• Preparation and maintenance of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality records, MDR documentation and traceability records.
• Identify, document and coordinate the resolution of non-conformances.
• Liaise with clients, inspectors, engineers and third-party inspection authorities as required.
• Ensure welding consumables, materials and equipment are appropriately controlled.
• Support continuous improvement of welding and quality processes.
• Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with company WHS requirements and procedures.
