Participants will advance through structured training, learning drawing interpretation, material selection, measurement, setup, welding, assembly, and quality checks, with safety a core focus throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have relevant welding, fabrication or engineering training, qualifications and/or experience.
• Demonstrate genuine need for further occupational training.
• Undertake structured, supervised apprenticeship-style learning.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, develop welding and fabrication skills.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and perform welding using approved processes.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components to specification.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the workshop.
