Job summary

Profab47 is a custom steel fabricating company in Australia with projects across Victoria. A full-time welding role is available with a probation period and the requirement of a trade certificate, a current driver’s license and ability to operate power tools and machinery.

The baseline pay ranges from AU$72,000 to AU$82,000 per year, depending on experience. The role involves studying CAD drawings, fitting and fabricating metal parts, checking accuracy and ensuring load-capacity compliance.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate required.
• Experience with large/heavy equipment preferred.
• Current drivers license required.
• Knowledge of operation of power tools and machinery.
• Study 2D CAD drawings to determine material and machine settings.
• Fitting and fabricating metal parts and assembling as per design.
• Ensure design meets load and capacity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Study 2D CAD drawings and specifications to determine the correct material, sequence of operations and machine settings.
• Fitting and fabricating metal/steel parts and assembling material as per design.
• Checking fabricated metal parts accuracy, clearance and confirming design requirements.
• Confirming design meets load and capacity requirements.
• Operate tools and machinery: grinder, band saw, MIG/TIG/STICK welder, drilling CNC/plasma/laser.

Job Description

Profab47 A full-time job has become available in our company. A probation period wil be required. Applicants will be required to have a trade certificate, Be able to handle large and heavy equipment, have a current drivers license and to have knowledge of operation of power tools and machinery.

Our company manufactures heavy duty steel fixtures, including many custom made trolleys, workbenches, gates and posts. The successful applicant will be required to carry out the following; Study 2D CAD drawings and specifications to determine the correct material, sequence of operations and machine settings. Fitting and fabricating metal/Steel parts and assembling material as per design Checking fabricated metal parts accuracy, clearance and confirming design requirements Confirming design meets load and capacity requirements Equipment to be used: Power Tools: Grinder Band

Saw MIG/TIG/STICK Welder Drilling /Pedestal Drill CNC /Plasma / Laser Safety Clothing required: Safety Work Boots, Long Sleeve, Or Short Sleeve shirts, Trousers Hours of Work: 38 Hours
