Job summary

Workforce Success is seeking 4 experienced First Class Welders for general welding on mining equipment in Rocklea, Brisbane. You will work in a high-volume shop with steady work, day or afternoon shifts, and overtime opportunities.

Requirements include trade qualification, solid MIG/FCAW skills, and the ability to read drawings. You’ll need your own helmet and personal gear, and a practical weld test is expected. Ongoing temp work through year-end with a chance at longer-term work.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a welder with heavy steel experience.
• Solid MIG/FCAW skills.
• Mining/earthmoving or heavy engineering background is a big tick.
• Own helmet, gloves and personal welding gear.
• Willing to do a practical weld test.

Job description

We’re after 4 experienced First Class Welders for general welding work on mining equipment. It’s ongoing, it’s busy, and you’ll be working in a high-volume shop where good welders get plenty of work.

The money and hours:

• $50PH (AM Shift) and $57.50PH (PM Shift)
• Overtime Available and Penalties Apply
• Day or Afternoon shift (2 spots on each)
• Rocklea, Brisbane

The work:

• General welding on mining equipment
• Heavy plate and structural components
• MIG/FCAW
• Working from engineering drawings and weld specs
• Ongoing temp work through to the end of the year and into the new year, with a shot at longer-term for the right people

What you’ll need:

• Trade Qualified Welder with proven heavy steel experience
• Solid MIG/FCAW skills
• Mining, earthmoving or heavy engineering background is a big tick
• Can work on your own and keep your quality high
• Own helmet, gloves and personal welding gear
• Happy to do a practical weld test
