Job summary

Queensland Health Logan Hospital is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to provide weekend services, delivering evidence-based care for patients with complex Speech Pathology needs in an acute hospital setting.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, supervise junior clinicians and contribute to education, service improvement and discharge planning while upholding Queensland Health values of integrity, compassion and excellence.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia.
• Experience with complex patients in an acute hospital setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with complex Speech Pathology needs in an acute hospital.
• Apply advanced clinical reasoning to deliver patient-centred care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for care coordination and discharge planning.
• Provide supervision and education to junior clinicians and students.
• Contribute to service improvement and clinical education initiatives.
• Assist in developing and reviewing clinical procedures and protocols.
