A leading aged care provider in Melbourne is seeking a Cook/Chef for their Knoxfield care home. The role involves supervising kitchen staff, maintaining high food preparation standards, and responding to special requests from residents. We have an exciting and fast paced opportunity to join the Infinite Aged Care team in the role of Cook/Chef at our Knoxfield care home. Reporting to the Facility Manager and our Regional Chef Manager, the Chef/Cook is responsible for providing a quality catering service which meets our resident’s needs, including the supervision, preparation and participation in cooking and baking.
Shifts are Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday | 6:00am – 2:00pm
The Weekend Breakfast Chef/Cook is an integral member of the team responsible for providing leadership and first line supervision to kitchen staff. This responsibility includes the allocation of duties to kitchen staff.
This role is a physical role whereby you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents.
