Job summary

The Australian Institute of Health & Welfare (AIHW) is seeking Web Content Officers at APS4 and APS5 levels to publish and maintain content across AIHW websites. The role emphasizes accessibility, accuracy, and timely publication of information, while aligning with government standards.

Qualifications

• Be Australian citizen and eligible for Australian Government employment.
• Experience with web publishing and content management.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Update and publish content across AIHW websites following publishing milestones.
• Apply AIHW web standards and WCAG 2.2 to ensure accessible, accurate pages.
• Conduct quality assurance on webpages, addressing accessibility, usability, links, and formatting issues.
• Liaise with stakeholders to clarify publishing requirements and resolve routine issues.
• Provide CMS guidance and assist with HTML and established publishing processes.
• Coordinate and manage releases for APS5, including complex, high-profile updates and priorities.
• Support decentralised authors and contribute to CMS governance and publishing improvements.
