Job summary

Chiosco by Ormeggio in Mosman, Sydney, seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager, leading the FOH team and ensuring polished hospitality on every service.

We welcome someone passionate about guest experiences, with Italian dining knowledge, RSA NSW certification, and strong cost-control acumen. This is a full-time role with progression within Maestro Hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing a busy restaurant.
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine or Italian restaurant environment.
• Strong food and wine knowledge.
• Current NSW RSA certification.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Understanding of hospitality cost control and commercial performance.
• Ability to communicate clearly and delegate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support Restaurant Manager with daily operation of the venue.
• Lead and supervise the FOH team during service.
• Train, coach and develop team members.
• Maintain high standards of guest service and presentation.
• Manage reservations, table flow and guest experience.
• Assist with rostering, labour management and cost controls.
• Complete daily operational and financial reporting.
• Support beverage, food and service training.
• Maintain strong communication between FOH, BOH and management.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, professional team culture.
