You will contribute to strategic and detailed planning services for water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure projects, primarily supporting Sydney Water and regional clients across Australia. This role involves applying technical knowledge in hydraulic modelling and GIS platforms to assist project delivery under limited supervision. You will also support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships through technical excellence and collaboration.

The Opportunity
  • Deliver specific parts of water and wastewater infrastructure planning projects with minimal direct guidance
  • Check and ensure the quality and accuracy of your work and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Assist project managers with coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and participating in meetings
  • Develop reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement materials to support project goals
  • Collaborate with experts on hydraulic modelling, infrastructure compliance, and planning documentation

Is this role right for you?
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering (civil, environmental, or related field) and experience in water/wastewater planning
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., InfoWorks, EPANet) and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapinfo)
  • Strong communication skills, able to adapt to diverse stakeholders and contribute effectively in teams
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and meeting deadlines
