Job summary

Sodexo in Australia is seeking an experienced Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for daily inspection, operation, and maintenance of water treatment plant systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Key duties include inspecting components, supporting filtration and chemical treatment, monitoring performance, conducting water sampling, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (NWP30222) mandatory.
• Current Open Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a water treatment plant.
• Experience with water sampling and testing techniques.
• Knowledge of water and sanitation systems management.
• Strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair water treatment plant components such as intakes, pipelines, storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment, pumps, valves and controls.
• Support the maintenance and operation of filtration and chemical treatment processes.
• Monitor plant performance and arrange servicing and major repairs in a timely manner.
• Conduct water sampling and testing in accordance with operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and maintenance records.
• Carry out general maintenance duties and other tasks as required.
