Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning and chlorination of hot and cold-water systems.
  • Descale, disinfect and perform tank cleans and dosing.
  • Conduct temperature monitoring and routine sampling.
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance on dosing equipment.
  • Collate and provide accurate reports.

Skills

Extensive experience as a Water Treatment Engineer

Overview

Our client is a highly-regarded water treatment company with a large portfolio of high-profile clients throughout the UK. We are recruiting a professional Water Treatment Engineer based in the Brighton area. The successful candidate will be a qualified remedial plumber with experience in carrying out routine water treatment duties on various site types in line with the ACOP L8 regulations. Applications will be considered from Worthing, Eastbourne, Burgess Hill and surrounding areas.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry.
  • Closed system analysis.
  • Hands‑on experience carrying out remedial plumbing to a mixed portfolio of sites.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (advantageous).
  • Fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Duties
  • Carry out cleaning and chlorination of hot and cold-water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing.
  • Descale, disinfect and perform tank cleans and dosing.
  • Temperature monitoring, routine sampling, analyse water systems and interpret results.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance on all dosing equipment as required.
  • Complete worksheets for work carried out appropriately.
  • Build and maintain a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Collate and provide accurate reports.
  • Visit sites as per client’s requirements.

The successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible, have a good work ethic and be able to carry out the work effectively within the timeline. Must be flexible with regards to travelling.
