About Prominent Hill
Prominent Hill is a well-established copper-gold operation within BHP’s Minerals Australia portfolio, with a strong future and ongoing investment.
Located 650km north-west of Adelaide, the site operates across underground and surface mining on a 4/3 days only FIFO roster.
A major shaft project is supporting underground expansion and extending mine life to at least 2040, creating long-term opportunities across the operation.
It’s a technically complex site where you can build your skills, take on new challenges, and be part of a team where safety and looking out for each other matters.
We currently have a vacancy for aWater Systems Coordinator, reporting to the Infrastructure & Services team.
The Challenge Ahead
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving the integrity, reliability and compliance of the potable water supply network at Prominent Hill.
As Water Systems Coordinator, you will lead the implementation and close-out of a broad range of improvement initiatives arising from potable water infrastructure reviews and Drinking Water Risk Management activities. This is a hands-on role where you'll spend time in the field inspecting assets, verifying infrastructure, coordinating corrective works, updating asset information and working closely with site stakeholders.
You'll have the opportunity to influence meaningful improvements across water quality, infrastructure compliance, risk management and asset reliability while helping ensure safe and sustainable operations across site. The role offers variety, collaboration and the chance to make a visible impact through the delivery of important water management initiatives.

We're looking for a practical, solutions-focused professional who enjoys working across multiple teams and has a strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
Your background may include experience in potable water systems, water treatment, utilities, infrastructure, fixed plant maintenance, plumbing or related industrial environments.

The role is offered as a 6 months fixed-term opportunity and operates on a 4 days on / 3 days off roster. It is well suited to individuals who enjoy a balance of field-based and coordination work while contributing to critical infrastructure and water management outcomes.
