Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Water Resources Engineer (Flood) based in Queensland to deliver hydrologic and hydraulic assessments and flood/drainage design. You will work on major infrastructure projects and collaborate with the Water Resources team while aligning with Jacobs' values and flexible, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in hydrologic and hydraulic assessments.
• Experience with hydrologic (RORB, URBS, XP-RAFTS) and hydraulic modelling (TUFLOW, MIKE-FLOOD).
• Engineering degree (or equivalent) and working towards RPEQ accreditation.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and work in a collaborative team.

Your Impact

The Jacobs business is seeking a Water Resources Engineer (Flood) to delivery hydrologic and hydraulic assessments and flood/drainage design.

Based in Queensland and reporting to the Water Resources Section Leader, this role will see you working on some of the region’s largest infrastructure projects locally and projects across the greater ANZ business and beyond.

In conjunction with your delivery/technical role, you will role model Jacobs’ core values and foster an inclusive and diverse culture across your team. About You

• Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in hydrologic and hydraulic assessments and flood/drainage design.
• Extensive experience in hydrologic (RORB, URBS, XP-RAFTS) and hydraulic modelling (TUFLOW, MIKE-FLOOD).
• Other areas of expertise may include stormwater drainage design, culvert and major traverse drainage design, bridge scour assessment, waterway design, CFD modelling and flood risk management
• Relevant Engineering degree (or equivalent) and working towards RPEQ Accreditation
• Ability to build strong client relationships.
• Good market understanding, and ability to be part of the team to deliver flooding projects
