Job summary

SA Water in Adelaide is seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to maintain and improve plant, equipment and materials across our water infrastructure. You will apply trade-based knowledge to support installations, repairs, and fault-finding, ensuring reliability, safety and cost efficiency.

The role requires proactive maintenance and the ability to work in varying environments, including remote locations.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in mechanical engineering required.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Strong safety and risk management knowledge.
• Experience with water/wastewater operations advantageous.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure infrastructure is safely maintained to a high-quality standard in line with reliability and maintenance practices.
• Execute internal and external maintenance programs to optimise equipment uptime and reliability.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Supervisors to provide updates on schedules and cost estimates.
• Collaborate effectively to ensure team goals are achieved.
