Job summary

NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is seeking a Technical Coordinator Waste Infrastructure to support delivery of the Waste and Circular Infrastructure Plan in Greater Sydney. You will identify opportunities, assess sites and provide evidence-based insights to inform decisions.

Qualifications

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex information and develop practical, evidence-based recommendations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and contribute to informed decision making.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, organise workloads and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to working across teams and with external stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
Degree in environmental science, planning or relevant discipline

Responsibilities

Support delivery of the NSW Waste and Circular Infrastructure Plan and assess future waste infrastructure opportunities.
Contribute to sustainable land use outcomes and long-term community benefits across NSW.
Research sites, coordinate feasibility assessments and provide evidence-based insights for decisions.
Balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes daily.
