Job summary

Weir Kalgoorlie is seeking a Storeperson / Warehouse Operator to join our onsite team. You will accurately pick, pack and dispatch inventory using RF scanners and our warehouse management system, while upholding strict safety and stock accuracy.

This permanent role offers minimal travel, with opportunities to operate forklifts, reach trucks and overhead cranes, collaborate with internal teams and transport providers, and advance within a global mining technology company.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment, ideally within a heavy industrial setting.
• Experience using RF scanners, forklifts and warehouse management systems to accurately manage stock movements.
• Current Forklift Licence and Overhead Crane Licence (or the ability to obtain one).
• Strong commitment to workplace safety with the ability to follow policies, procedures and safe operating practices.
• Sound computer skills, including MS Office, SAP and email communication, with the ability to interpret instructions and solve problems.
• Additional certifications such as Dangerous Goods, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Load Restraint, along with distribution centre experience, will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack and dispatch inventory using RF scanners and warehouse management systems while maintaining high stock accuracy.
• Safely operate forklifts, high reach trucks and overhead cranes to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and transport providers to ensure timely stock movement and deliveries.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety by following procedures, policies and PPE requirements at all times.
• Work in a hands-on warehouse environment, including outdoor conditions and physically active tasks.
• Permanent onsite role based at our Kalgoorlie facility with minimal travel requirements.
