Natural Factors is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead all warehousing operations supporting the packing facility and finished goods handling in the Factors Australian business.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible to lead all warehousing functions associated with supporting the packing facility and the holding and dispatching of finished goods for the Factors Australian business. Ensure all material handling operations are performed safely and efficiently. Enact the operational and personnel policies and procedures while taking into consideration the company’s commitment to our seven Core Values such as Sustainability (people, the planet, and profit) in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse inventory and accuracy by ensuring cycle counts and stock takes occur as required.
  • Ensure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, timely and efficiently.
  • Ensure warehouse operational processes are fit for purpose and performed effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage the warehouse budget, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances and striving to achieve improved outcomes.
  • Facilitate fast and efficient receipt and put-away processes of international shipping / airfreight and local deliveries. Ensure accurate check processes are performed for materials received against paperwork.
  • Ensure warehouse is maintained in a clean, uncluttered and safe condition.
  • Continually review traffic and inventory flow for efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure equipment is regularly inspected and instigate repair and requisitions for replacement where required.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures.
  • Ensure daily warehouse operational requirements are completed by scheduling and assigning employees, including Supervisors and Leading Hands, and reviewing the work results.
  • Maintain warehouse staff by aiding HR in recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
  • Identify, prioritize, lead and support continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions.
  • Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Technical

  • Post-secondary education preferably in Operations or Logistics.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Working knowledge of the principles and methods of warehouse management, Cycle Counting, 5S and Lean.
  • Strong working knowledge of software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management and ERP Systems is an asset.
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory control records and provide necessary reporting.
  • Ability to operate industrial lift trucks, pallet jack, order picker and forklifts is preferred.
