Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Warehouse Manager located on Sydney's Northern Beaches in Broovkale, NSW. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including stock control, inventory management, and the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments. Daily tasks will include managing staff, ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to, and optimizing warehouse processes for efficiency. The Warehouse Manager will also ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of orders and handle any logistical issues that may arise.
We're looking for someone who will get their hands dirty, lead by example, and take the existing warehouse team under their wing to further develop their skills and the overall warehouse efficiencies. The role requires someone who is organised, meticulous about details and process, and someone who is prepared to lead a team through peak seasons with a sweat on the brow and a smile on their face.
Main Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee and coordinate the warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of Budgy Smuggler products.
- Work with Production Coordinator to maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock takes.
- Manage the warehouse team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure the work place is neat, tidy, without trip or other hazards that may injure people. If people get hurt we all get in trouble, so this is an important one.
- Recruit and develop a team to deliver the above.
- Efficiently allocate resources, including rostering staff, to optimize warehouse operations.
- Facilitate a Quarterly Training session so the team all stay on the same page
Warehouse KPIs
- Daily Warehouse Floor Clean Up / Tidy.
- Orders received before 1pm each day are picked, packed and sent same day.
- 100% of orders are sent with a handwritten note, with some love.
- Custom, Store, Pop-Up, Wholesale and UK/EU Company orders are processed as scheduled without impacting Online Orders

Inventory Control
- Monitor stock levels and oversee the movement of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Work with Production Coordinator to implement and manage inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Work with the Production Coordinator to minimise discrepancies.
Logistics and Distribution
- Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
- Liaise with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely deliveries.
- Oversee the organisation of the dispatch and delivery of goods.
Health and Safety
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained and followed.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety procedures.
Process Improvement
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and implement warehouse operations policies and procedures.
- Utilise data and analytics to monitor performance and drive improvements.
Warehouse Management System (WMS) Management
- Own the function and improvement of the current WMS platform, Descartes Peoplevox (PVX).
- Train new staff on the system to ensure smooth integration.
- Monitor and optimise the system to enhance warehouse operations.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and manage the warehouse team to achieve high levels of performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and updates.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Reporting and Analytics
- Generate and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
- Use data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
Qualifications
- Experience with WMS Descartes (Peoplevox / PVX)
- Experience in Stock Control and Inventory Management
- Operations Management skills
- Proficiency in Forklift Operation
- Strong organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in warehouse management are a plus
