Job summary

Horner Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Storeman / Forklift Operator (Pick Packer - Warehouse All-Rounder) for a large automotive warehouse in Dandenong South, VIC. Immediate start on a casual ongoing basis with a view to permanency after a successful trial period.

Days are Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm (37.5 hours per week). Casual pay rate is $37.50 per hour, with overtime possible. We require practical forklift experience and reliable, long-term commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment, including counter balance.
• High Reach forklift experience highly regarded.
• Picking and packing duties and manual handling.
• All-round warehouse knowledge: stock control, put away, replenishment, RF scanning, cycle counts.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills and data entry into computer systems.
• Physically fit with ability to lift.
• Willingness to undergo drug, alcohol and capacity assessments.
• Reliable and able to commit to Monday to Friday (5 days).

Responsibilities

• Operate counter balance and high reach forklifts safely.
• Load and unload trucks and maintain organized warehouse area.
• Perform pick and packing duties and manual handling.
• Maintain stock control, put away, replenishment, and cycle counts.
• Enter data into computer systems using RF scanning tools.

Job description

We are currently looking for an ongoing full time experienced Storeman / Forklift Operator (Pick Packer - Warehouse All-Rounder) to work in a warehouse (Heavy Automotive Industry) of a leading company in Dandenong South - Immediate start - Casual ongoing, with a view to going PERMANENT after successful trial period (depending on your progress, and available permanent positions)

MUST HAVE:

• Strong experience on Forklift - Counter Balance Forklift in a warehouse environment (operated safely & swiftly) Load & Unload trucks etc...
• High Reach Forklift experience will be highly regarded!
• Pick & Packing Skills - manual labouring - physical warehouse work
• All-round Warehouse experience & knowledge (Stock Control, Put Away, Replenishment, RF Scanning, Cycle Counts etc... highly regarded
• Basic to intermediate Computer skills - Dispatch work - Basic entering data into Computer Systems
• Be physically fit and capable of lifting.
• Be willing to do a drug and alcohol and a physical capacity assessment (if required)
• Be reliable and able to commit to long term ongoing work MONDAY to FRIDAY (5 DAYS PER WEEK)

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

Working hours are: 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) CASUAL TO PERMANENT
Casual Payrate: $37.50 per hourly.

Ocassional Overtime as required
