1d ago , from Becks Wiggins Stokes Recruitment

We are proud to be supporting a long-term client who are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Warehouse Assistantto join a thriving and well-established business offering a friendly, team-oriented working environment and genuine opportunities for personal and professional development.

This is a full-time, ongoing permanent position that could suit anyone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, has good physical mobility and takes pride in contributing to a productive and well-organised warehouse operation.

The opportunity may be particularly appealing to a younger person looking to establish themselves in their first serious, long-term role, although applicants of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Importantly, this business is looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, rather than necessarily extensive warehousing experience.

An Opportunity to Grow

This is more than simply another warehouse job. It represents an opportunity for someone who wants to become a valued member of a business, develop practical skills and establish a rewarding, long-term employment relationship.

Whether you are at the beginning of your working life or looking for a fresh opportunity in a hands-on, team-oriented environment, please read on for further details.

The Role

Working as part of a small, supportive team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, checking and storing incoming stock.
  • Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Labelling and preparing products for distribution.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries and shipping containers.
  • Preparing consignment notes and other basic dispatch documentation.
  • Liaising with transport providers to coordinate collections and deliveries.
  • Assisting with basic product assembly and preparation.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse.
  • Supporting other warehouse and distribution activities as required.
What We’re Looking For

We are particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Reliability and a positive work history, whether gained through full-time or part-time employment.
  • Reliable tranport and a current valid licence, although not essential where suitable public transport options are available to support reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Previous experience in warehousing, storage, customer service, retail or other team-oriented working environments.
  • A strong work ethic, punctuality and willingness to take responsibility.
  • Good physical mobility and the ability to undertake practical warehouse duties, including manual handling.
  • A cooperative attitude and enjoyment of working as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to follow established procedures.
  • Agrowth mindset withenthusiasm for learning new skills and a genuine interest in developing a long-term career.

Previous warehouse experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Equally important is the ability to demonstrate a consistent and dependable approach to previous employment.

Our client recognises the importance of investing in its people and is prepared to support the successful applicant in developing valuable workplace skills.
Benefits of this opportunity include:

  • Permanent, full-time employment with a stable and established business which is widely recognised.
  • A welcoming, supportive and team-focused working environment.
  • On-the-job training and guidance from experienced colleagues.
  • Opportunities to undertake additional training and obtain relevant qualifications, potentially including forklift licensing and workplace health and safety courses.
  • Exposure to different aspects of warehouse operations, logistics and distribution.
  • Eligibility to participate in an annual bonus/profit-sharing scheme following a qualifying period.
  • The opportunity to develop skills, confidence and greater responsibility over time.

If you are dependable, willing to learn and ready to make a positive contribution, we encourage you to apply.
