Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking a Patient Services Assistant Level 2 to maintain ward cleanliness and hygiene and to support nursing and clinical staff across five functions: Cleaning, Food & Beverage, Transport, Ward, and Patient Support.

The role requires a Certificate III in Health Services Assistant and a Food Handlers Certificate, with emphasis on attention to detail, strong English; physical ability to lift and move items; and a customer‑focused, team-oriented approach.

Formación

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistant is required.
• Food Handlers Certificate required.
• Service oriented with attention to method and detail.
• Neat presentation, hygiene, and ability to read and write English.
• Physical ability to lift, push and move heavy items and walk long distances.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high standards of environmental cleaning and housekeeping across wards and spaces.
• Support patient care by assisting with patient mobility, lifting and transport within the hospital.
• Provide ward support services including restocking, linen, waste, and equipment checks.
• Assist with food and beverage services including meal delivery and replenishment.
• Transport patients, equipment, specimens and clinical items between wards.
• Contribute to a safe environment by participating in emergency responses and multidisciplinary teamwork.
