Job summary

About This Opportunity

We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic Speech Pathologists for senior roles across WA Country Health Service. As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will plan, coordinate, deliver, monitor and evaluate speech pathology services to a designated caseload of inpatient, outpatient and/or community clients within a regional location. You will also undertake supervisory and administrative duties and have the opportunity to broaden your clinical and professional skills.

• The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis throughout the life of the pool.


• Applicants will have the opportunity to indicate their preferred locations and availability for positions.

Suitability Criteria

Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role.

Applicants should address the following criteria in no more than 3 pages:

• Describe your relevant clinical experience, high-level knowledge and skills across a range of speech pathology assessment, treatment and evaluation practices.


• Provide an example that demonstrates your high-level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including your ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively.


• Describe your experience in clinical leadership, staff supervision and clinical governance as a senior member of the clinical team.


• Provide an example of how you have planned, developed, implemented and evaluated a speech pathology service or initiative, including how you applied quality improvement principles.

Other Essential Requirements

• Evidence of tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and evidence or eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).


• Availability to commence employment within the pool validity period (before 20/08/27).
