Health Workforce is assisting a rural Central Queensland general practice seeking a General Practitioner. You will deliver patient-centered primary care across ages, with duties spanning assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, chronic disease management and health promotion.

Qualifications

• Fellowship FRACGP or FACRRM is required.
• Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration is required.
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality, patient-centred primary healthcare.
• Current medical indemnity insurance is required.
• CPR/resuscitation certification current.
• Eligibility to obtain a Medicare Provider Number for the practice location.
• Valid authority to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients across all ages.

Practice Information

This private general practice provides comprehensive primary healthcare services to a rural Queensland community and surrounding areas. Services include general consultations, chronic disease management, health assessments, preventative health, immunisations, women's and men's health, children's health, minor procedures, wound care and care coordination.

General Practitioners are supported by experienced nursing and administration staff, with flexibility for longer appointments where clinically required. The practice operates Monday to Friday and uses Best Practice clinical software.

Position Description

The General Practitioner will provide high-quality, patient-centred primary healthcare to patients of all ages.

Duties include assessment, diagnosis and treatment, prescribing, chronic disease management, preventative healthcare, health promotion, ordering and reviewing diagnostic tests, and referrals to specialist and allied health services as required.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the nursing and administration team to support continuity of care and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional standards, AHPRA requirements and Medicare requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
• Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration
