Korea Development Bank (KDB) is establishing its Sydney Branch to conduct wholesale banking operations in Australia. We are seeking an experienced Vice President – Risk Management to develop and implement the Branch’s risk framework and manuals, adapting group policies to the Australian regulatory environment.

This is a hands-on role reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, requiring initiative, collaboration, and strong quantitative and qualitative capabilities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking or financial services industry.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM are highly regarded.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Assist the CRO in implementing, enhancing, and embedding the Branch’s risk management framework.
• Provide independent risk guidance on business activities, regulatory developments.
• Develop and implement risk procedures, risk registers and documentation aligned with APRA standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual risk reports for senior management and Head Office.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors on risk-related matters.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions to business teams on risk management topics.
