Leidos Australia is seeking a focused air and mission operations professional to contribute to our Search and Rescue program. You will work alongside skilled aircrew delivering critical aerial search capabilities, locating people and vessels in distress during life-saving operations.
Based in Cairns within our aviation team, you’ll spot and report findings to pilots, monitor mission equipment and keep detailed records.

We conduct airborne missions for the Australian Government across maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. With bases strategically positioned across Australia, we operate a fully integrated in-house aviation capability which includes flight operations, maintenance organisation, training organisation and operations centre.
This role is an opportunity to contribute to our Search and Rescue program by delivering outcomes that matter. Working alongside a skilled aircrew, you will support the delivery of critical aerial search capabilities, helping locate people and vessels in distress during life‑saving operations.

Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. In certain circumstances this can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.
