Job summary

Nambour Christian College, part of Associated Christian Schools, seeks a passionate Visual Arts teacher for Prep–Year 6. Four days per week, 2027 start, on a fixed-term contract for the 2027 academic year.

You will foster creativity, self-expression, and a love of the arts within a Christ-centred learning community. The successful candidate will engage students with varied art forms, contribute to events such as showcases, and support broader learning beyond the classroom in a rainforest setting

Qualifications

• Qualified Visual Arts teacher with current or eligible Queensland Teacher Registration.
• Experience teaching Visual Arts in Junior School or early years settings.
• First Aid Certificate is desirable.
• Commitment to Christian education and school faith life.

Responsibilities

• Teach Visual Arts across Prep to Year 6 four days per week.
• Design and deliver engaging, creative Visual Arts learning experiences.
• Contribute to school arts events, showcases and broader programs.
• Collaborate with staff to integrate Biblical principles into teaching and classroom culture.
