Job summary

Mid North Coast Local Health District invites applications for a Visiting Medical Officer Anaesthetist. You will deliver contemporary anaesthesia across emergency and elective cases, inpatients and outpatients, aligned with best-practice, evidence-based care.

You will undertake anaesthetic lists, pre-anaesthetic clinics and on-call duties as rostered, and contribute to departmental development, Morbidity and Mortality reviews, and the training of junior medical staff across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Must hold authority to work in Australia.
• Category A position requirements under NSW Health.
• ABN as an individual sole trader or practice company (trusts not permitted) and GST registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia services for emergency and elective patients, inpatients and outpatients.
• Undertake anaesthetic lists, pre-anaesthetic clinics and on-call duties as rostered.
• Contribute to administration, development and enhancement of anaesthetic services including Morbidity and Mortality reviews.
• Support training and supervision of junior medical staff and other clinicians across multiple disciplines.
