Job summary

Vinarchy is recruiting casual vintage staff for the McLaren Vale region during the 2027 season. Join a dynamic team and help turn grapes into wine in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment. Roles start in January and run through the vintage period, with training provided as needed.

We value teamwork, physical fitness and the willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Visa holders are welcome, and long shifts across a six‑day week are expected for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Full working rights; visa holders welcome.
• Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces (training provided).
• Willingness to work long shifts across a 6‑day working week.
• Previous vintage experience is great, but not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate winery equipment such as presses, crushers, pumps and related gear.
• Assist with grape receival, crushing and juice/wine transfers.
• Support pumping overs, rack and returns, additions and fermentation processes.
• Manage barrel work including filling, emptying, topping and cleaning.
• Record data on log sheets and cellar notes.
