Qualifications

  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to support and motivate volunteers.
  • Organisational skills and reliability to support scheduled training sessions.

Your Role

Join the Vinnies team and play a hands‑on role in supporting one of Vinnies’ most loved services. As a Vinnies Van iPad Trainer, you’ll work directly with volunteers across various regions to help them confidently use our new Vinnies Vans V1 iPad App, ensuring accurate data entry, warm referrals and smooth service delivery to community members who rely on us.You’ll spend time on the road and on evening shifts, accompanying volunteers on Vinnies Van runs, providing practical training, troubleshooting, and building supportive relationships that help lift the quality and consistency of our outreach.If you enjoy coaching others, love tech that makes a difference, and thrive in community focused work, this role offers purpose, flexibility and meaningful impact.

Your Responsibility

Train, mentor and support volunteers to confidently use the Vinnies Vans V1 iPad App.

Encourage accurate assessment, reporting and entry of data, including warm and soft referrals.

Troubleshoot technical or user issues and elevate relevant feedback to the State Manager.

Participate in training updates to stay across app enhancements and rollout plans.

Join volunteers on evening Van runs to provide real‑time coaching and support.

Build strong, positive relationships with Vinnies Van Coordinators and volunteers across locations.

You Will Need

Experience in Community Services or a related field.

Strong confidence using Apple iPads and basic digital systems.

Solid administrative skills and competency with Microsoft Office.

Strong relationship building skills and the ability to support and motivate volunteers.

Organisational skills and reliability to support scheduled training sessions.

Flexibility to work night shifts as needed for Vinnies Van schedules.

Experience in the NFP sector.

Understanding of challenges facing volunteers and people experiencing homelessness.

Prior experience with the Vinnies Van is a bonus.
