Domaine Chandon Australia is seeking a casual Vineyard Operator to support day‑to‑day vineyard tasks at our Strathbogie site. You will assist with pruning, spraying, irrigation work, and vineyard maintenance while operating machinery to a high standard and ensuring safety practices are followed.

The role involves potential night and weekend shifts during harvest, with opportunities for training and career growth within a renowned sparkling wine Maison of the LVMH group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in vineyard, agriculture, or horticulture operations preferred.
• Tertiary education in agriculture, viticulture, horticulture or related field highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of viticultural principles with ability to operate machinery.
• Flexible, reliable, good communicator, able to work independently or in a team.
• Hold a valid car license; forklift license and chemical handling/first-aid accreditation advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Perform spraying, pruning, vine training, trellis and irrigation repairs and general vineyard maintenance.
• Operate vineyard machinery to a high standard and conduct regular maintenance.
• Monitor pests, diseases and assist with frost protection, bird control and crop estimation.
• Contribute during harvest, including potential night and weekend work.
• Uphold safety standards and participate in safety activities to promote a safe work environment.
