Mounties Group seeks a capable Village Maintenance Officer to join our Watermark Freshwater team on a full-time basis. You will perform general maintenance across the Village to keep facilities safe, well-maintained and operating smoothly.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on maintenance experience, a trade qualification, a current driver’s licence and a commitment to safety and quality. You’ll work with residents, staff and contractors to deliver reliable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role including general maintenance.
• A tertiary qualification in a trade or related discipline is highly desirable.
• Criminal Record Check
• Current Drivers Licence
• First Aid Certificate and CPR certification
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance

Responsabilités

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance (reactive and scheduled)
• Perform a range of handyperson duties including patching, painting, and basic carpentry
• Assist with minor electrical work under supervision (where appropriate)
• Coordinate and oversee third‑party contractors, ensuring compliance and quality outcomes
• Accurately log and track jobs using FM systems (e.g. FM Clarity)
• Identify defects and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance procedures
• Maintain strong, positive relationships with residents, staff, and contractors
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with policies and regulations
