Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a GIS/Geomatics professional to support Victoria’s foundational spatial data, acquire imagery, elevation and 3D data, and assist with procurement and contract management. You will work with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide specialist advice on geospatial imaging and data, and prepare project specifications.

You will also support financial management and contribute to QA, product development and service improvements while collaborating across government.

Qualifications

• Experience in GIS, remote sensing and programming (mandatory)
• Experience managing small to medium projects independently, delivering to agreed scope, time and budget (mandatory)
• Relevant qualifications or experience in geomatics, surveying, geoinformatics, spatial sciences or information technology (mandatory)
• Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks required
• Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the position
• Ability to deliver projects effectively, prioritise tasks, maintain accurate records and work to agreed plans and priorities
• Ability to manage contracts, monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance and address risks
• Critical thinking, sound judgement and practical problem-solving skills
• Ability to align work with organisational priorities and embrace new technologies and ways of working
• Ability to work collaboratively while upholding public sector values and ethics
